EMDR Consultation for Clinicians

Grow in Confidence. Deepen your EMDR Practice.

Supportive, collaborative consultation for clinicians completing EMDR Basic Training, pursuing EMDRIA Certification, or seeking advanced guidance in EMDR therapy

At Every Stage of Your EMDR Journey

Whether you're completing Basic Training consultation requirements, pursuing EMDRIA Certification, or seeking support with complex cases, consultation provides an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the EMDR model, strengthen clinical decision-making, and grow in confidence as an EMDR therapist.

Consultation is available for clinicians who are:

  • Completing EMDR Basic Training consultation requirements

  • Pursuing EMDRIA Certification

  • Seeking support with complex trauma and attachment-focused cases

  • Looking to strengthen EMDR case conceptualization and treatment planning

  • Wanting greater confidence in applying the standard EMDR protocol

  • Interested in ongoing professional growth and skill development

As an EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training, I provide individual and group consultation for EMDRIA required consultation hours.

EMDR Basic Training Consultation

For clinicians completing EMDR Basic Training through Cora Learning Institute or another EMDRIA-approved training program.

Consultation supports the integration of EMDR therapy into clinical practice and provides a space to ask questions, strengthen skills, and build confidence in applying the standard protocol

Topics may include:

  • Case conceptualization using the AIP model

  • Phase-based treatment planning

  • Resource development

  • Preparing clients for reprocessing

  • Target selection and sequencing

  • Strengthening fidelity to the EMDR protocol

  • Building confidence in early EMDR clinical work

EMDR Certification Consultation

EMDR Certification Consultation is designed for clinicians who are ready to move beyond the fundamentals and deepen their expertise as EMDR therapists. This stage of professional development focuses on strengthening advanced clinical skills, refining case conceptualization, and increasing confidence in working with more complex presentations.

Consultation may focus on:

  • Advanced case conceptualization

  • Complex trauma and developmental trauma

  • Attachment-informed treatment planning

  • Dissociation and structural dissociation

  • Clinical decision-making and flexibility within the EMDR model

  • Integrating EMDR with other therapeutic approaches

  • Strengthening therapist presence and clinical confidence

Certification consultation provides an opportunity to move from simply applying the EMDR protocol to developing greater mastery, nuance, and intentionality in your work as an EMDR clinician.

Clinical Consultation for Complex Cases

Even experienced EMDR therapists encounter cases that benefit from collaboration and consultation.

This consultation space is designed for clinicians seeking support with:

  • Complex trauma

  • Dissociation

  • Attachment wounds

  • OCD and anxiety disorders

  • Stuck or blocked processing

  • Clinical and ethical concerns

  • Challenging treatment decisions

Together, we can explore case conceptualization, identify next steps, and develop strategies that support both therapist and client.

Individual and Group Consultation
Individual Consultation

Individual consultation offers personalized support tailored to your specific learning goals, clinical questions, and cases

Group Consultation

Group consultation provides opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth alongside other EMDR clinicians. Participants benefit from shared perspectives while deepening their understanding of the EMDR model.

My Consultation Style

I believe consultation is most effective when it balances support, collaboration, and clinical growth. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where clinicians feel comfortable asking questions, exploring uncertainty, and developing confidence in their work.

I also believe there is tremendous value in bringing newer and more experienced clinicians together. Consultation creates opportunities to learn from one another, share perspectives, and build a supportive professional community where growth is fostered through collaboration rather than isolation.

Each clinician brings unique strengths, experiences, and a personal style to their work. Rather than encouraging a one-size-fits-all approach, I enjoy helping therapists identify and develop their own authentic clinical voice while deepening their understanding of the EMDR model and trauma-informed care.

Whether you are completing Basic Training, pursuing certification, or seeking support with complex cases, consultation offers a space to strengthen clinical skills, expand professional confidence, and continue growing as a therapist.
